Renita Y. Sims is a speaker, mentor, author, and licensed and ordained Elder whose life reflects the restoring power of Jesus Christ. Her journey is one of healing, resilience, and purpose, and she is passionate about helping women move forward, no matter their past.

With both honesty and compassion, Renita creates space for women to heal, rediscover their voice, and grow in faith. Having walked through seasons that didn’t feel good; marked by pain, disappointment, and deep personal challenges, she carries a lived understanding of what it means to awaken to God’s goodness even in the middle of it. Her message is rooted in the truth that God’s faithfulness isn’t dependent on our circumstances.

A Detroit native now residing in San Diego, California, Renita brings over 30 years of experience serving leaders, ministries, and organizations with excellence. She currently serves on the Executive Board of the International Women’s Ministry Network and is the 2026 Conference Director for their upcoming fall gathering.

Renita is also a co-author of PEPTalk: Prayers to Encourage and Guide Women and has completed her first solo book, with more projects focused on healing, identity, and restoration on the way. She is the founder and visionary of R.Y.S.E. — “Rise. Reclaim. Reign.” — a movement that serves as the umbrella for her ministry and business expressions, including Fabric of a Woman, Kubernesis, and Pamper Me Pretty .all created to support, heal, and empower the whole woman.

Now married to her husband, Christopher of 15 years, Renita is embracing a new season of life marked by joy, growth, and vision. As a wife, minister, speaker, and entrepreneur, she continues to weave the fabric of her own womanhood through prayer, patience, and a deep trust in God.

Her passion for Jesus is evident in every space she enters, and her life reflects His faithfulness. She is committed to helping others recognize His goodness, even in the most difficult seasons and to walk boldly in the purpose He has placed on their lives.
