About Janie Carter

Janie Carter was born in Boston, Massachusetts but has been living in Winston - Salem the majority of adult live. She graduated from Glenn High School in 1998 and then went on to Forsyth Tech Community College to study Nursing but later on realizing that God was calling her to more than just patient care. In 2000, Janie attending training classes to become a residential advocate to work with at risk children and adults and started working at People Helping People Services, and many other organizations. She did not stop there. In 2014, Janie took a full-time position at Next Step Ministry advocating and facilitating the training classes for Domestic Violence Women that were in shelters. Janie has compassion for helping others and currently works at Trellis Supportive Care Organization.
Janie Carter is a mother of four beautiful children, finds value in being a hard-working employee and is known to be a loving and compassionate person. Janie dreams of one day owning her own teenage homeless shelter. Janie has a heart for women and seeing them made whole by God.
Janie is excited about leading the North Carolina Women's Ministry Network into its new season in 2020 and beyond.
